The Role
SRG has a career opportunity for an Student Engineer at our Smithfield office in NSW.
This role includes carrying out quantity take-offs, drafting in BlueBeam, providing technical product clarifications, efficiently coordinating project completion by working alongside the operational teams and effectively communicating with clients
Key Responsibilities:
- Determine construction methods, materials, and quality standards; interpret specifications, drawings, and plans.
- Coordinate material production and schedule deliveries on site to meet customer requirements.
- Assist in site inspections and prepare reports as needed.
- Perform quantity take-offs using Bluebeam Revu and interpret engineering drawings accurately.
- Support the Regional Sales Manager in ensuring safe project delivery on time and within budget.
- Provide technical product and engineering advice for optimal solutions.
- Coordinate all aspects of processes from product sales to dispatch, focusing on the WA market.
- Report on day-to-day activities and contribute to problem-solving efforts.
The successful applicant will ideally have:
- Enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction, or equivalent.
- Construction White Card.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite and Outlook.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in data processing.
- Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively.
- Flexible approach to work with a commitment to high performance.
