Site Manager - Ground Support

The Role

 

We are recruiting an experienced and safety-driven Site Manager with mining experience to join a dynamic team on an ongoing Ground Support project at KCGM Superpit in Kalgoorlie, WA.

 

This role would suit an experienced and proactive individual with the ability to build, foster and maintain our current client relationships. This means working closely with site personnel to ensure the project is run in a manner that meets the client’s expectation and SRG Global’s high standard of project delivery.

 

This is a Residential Role on a 5:2, 4:3 Roster. FIFO from Perth may be considered for the right candidate.

 

Relocation assistance can be discussed.

 

 Key Responsibilities

 

  • Provide strong leadership across all open pit, ground support installation activities.
  • Drive a proactive safety culture and ensure full compliance with WHS requirements.
  • Liaise closely with the client’s site representatives to coordinate daily works and maintain clear communication.
  • Plan and optimise the use of equipment, labour and materials to maximise operational productivity.
  • Work closely with maintenance supervisors to ensure high equipment availability and minimise downtime.
  • Mentor, develop and support both new and existing team members to build a high-performing workforce.
  • Contribute to monthly financial and operational reviews, identifying opportunities to improve productivity, reduce costs and deliver added value.

 

The successful applicant will ideally have:

 

  • Schedule 26 Statutory Supervisor Accreditation.
  • Proven supervision experience in a mining environment.
  • Experience in the drilling industry.
  • Experience in geotechnical ground support (desirable).
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and client-facing skills.
  • Strong planning, coordination, and organisational capabilities
  • Demonstrated experience in risk management, safety inspections, and statutory reporting.
  • Computer literacy in all MS Office programs.
  • Cert IV in Frontline Management (or similar).
  • IRATA Level 1 (desirable).
