Safety Coordinator

The Role

Seeking a Safety Coordinator to support our Civil division working on a complex water infrastructure, desalination project in Alkimos.

 

As the Safety Coordinator, you will play a key role in ensuring safe working environments for our onsite Civil team.

 

Permanent, Monday to Friday local role. Occasional weekend work required.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the WHS processes and documentation on site
  • Preparation and implementation of the WHS Project Management Plan on site
  • Manage document control processes in line with principal contractor requirements.
  • Coordinate submission of safety documentation to principal contractor portals.
  • Maintain registers (plant, equipment, PPE, training, incidents, SDS).
  • Manage training, inductions, licences and competency records
  • Track compliance requirements including insurances, certifications and prequalifications
  • Log and administer incident and hazard reports, maintaining action registers
  • Prepare weekly and monthly safety reports for management
  • Provide administrative support to site teams and assist with internal and external audits
  • Conduct site inspections when required.

 

The successful applicant will ideally have:

  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Cert IV in WHS/OHS (minimum)
  • Lead Investigation Training (desired)
  • Strong stakeholder and people skills
  • Strong computer and systems skills and knowledge
  • Australian Drivers licence
