The Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Risk & Insurance Analyst to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting the organisation's risk management and insurance programs, helping to protect our people, projects, and assets.

 

Working from our Subiaco head office, you will be working closely with internal and external stakeholders and will be responsible for analysing risk exposures, managing insurance-related activities, supporting claims processes, and contributing to the continuous improvement of enterprise risk management practices.

 

This role is ideal for someone with strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and a genuine interest in risk management and insurance within a dynamic business environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Insurance & Claims

  • Coordinate and administer commercial insurance programs across the business.
  • Manage and monitor insurance claims, including property damage and liability claims.
  • Liaise with insurers, brokers and internal stakeholders to gather and provide claim information.
  • Maintain insurance records, policy documentation and renewal information.
  • Assist with insurance renewals by preparing information and supporting submissions.

 

Risk Management & Governance

  • Support operational risk assessments and risk identification activities across the business.
  • Facilitate risk workshops and assist with collecting and analysing risk data.
  • Maintain risk registers and monitor mitigation actions.
  • Identify opportunities to improve risk and insurance processes and workflows.
  • Analyse emerging risks and business trends to support informed decision-making.
  • Work closely with operational teams to embed effective risk management practices.

 

The successful applicant will ideally have:

  • 1–3 years' experience in risk, insurance, governance, business analysis or a similar role.
  • Relevant qualification in Business, Commerce, Risk, Insurance, Law or Project Management preferred.
  • Industry experience in construction, mining, or industrial services (desirable).
  • Exposure to risk frameworks, risk identification or operational risk management.
  • Strong administrative skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Experience using AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot or ChatGPT (desirable).
