SRG Global is seeking a proactive and experienced Site Manager to lead our Drill & Blast operations. This role offers the opportunity to lead site activities, support a high-performing team, and contribute to the successful delivery of our long-term mining contract.

 

We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Site Manager   to join our long-term project on a DIDO 8:6 roster. The project site is located in Bogie, within the Whitsunday region of QLD, and is suited to candidates residing locally.

 

In this role, you lead site operations, overseeing drilling, blasting, maintenance and down-the-hole services while ensuring project delivery aligns with SRG Global standards and client expectations.

Working closely with site personnel and client representatives, you will promote safe work practices, drive operational efficiency, and support continuous improvement across the project.

 

This role plays a key part in maintaining profitability by managing costs, identifying operational improvements, and strengthening team performance, supporting SRG Global’s strong reputation across the mining sector.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day drilling, blasting and site maintenance activities
  • Act as the primary liaison between SRG Global and client representatives, including daily reporting and coordination meetings
  • Lead, mentor, and develop site personnel to build a strong, capable team
  • Ensure compliance with SRG Global safety systems and Learning Management System (LMS) requirements
  • Coordinate PSI meetings, toolbox talks, and safety briefings
  • Plan and schedule preventative maintenance while monitoring equipment performance
  • Manage site rosters, consumables, freight logistics, and documentation
  • Conduct site inspections, workplace assessments, and stocktakes
  • Champion HSEQ performance, including incident reporting, audits, and compliance with procedures
  • Support quality assurance processes, register maintenance, and environmental risk management
  • Ensure SWP, JHA, and TAKE 5 processes are completed accurately and on time
  • Provide regular updates to the General Manager on operational performance, workforce planning, and risk management

 

Essential Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a supervisory role within drilling, blasting, or mining operations
  • QLD Shotfirer Licence (or ability to obtain)
  • GI, G8 G9 Supervisory Certificate
  • Valid C Class Manual Driver’s Licence

 

Desirable Qualifications

  • BSBWHS411 – Implement and Monitor WHS Policies
  • BSBWHS414 – Contribute to WHS Risk Management
  • Workplace Assessor & Instructor Units (e.g., TAEDEL301 or equivalent)
  • First Aid Certificate
  • Certificate IV in WHS and/or Leadership & Management
  • HR Licence, High Risk Work Licence

  • Competency in Microsoft Office and CMMS systems
