The Role

The Planning and Mobilisation Manager is responsible for workforce planning, forecasting, scheduling, and mobilisation across SRG’s Asset Maintenance Division. The role provides governance and oversight of workforce capacity, rosters, and mobilisation performance to support maintenance programs, shutdowns, and project delivery across multiple sites and clients.

 

The position is accountable for implementing planning frameworks, ensuring workforce readiness, and delivering compliant, consistent mobilisation outcomes. It also leads and develops mobilisation and resource planning teams, maintaining standards, visibility, and continuous improvement across SRG and Bugarrba operations.

 

Full-Time Permanent role, based at our Wangara office.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead workforce planning, forecasting, and mobilisation across asset maintenance programs, projects, and shutdowns to meet operational demand.
  • Establish and govern workforce planning frameworks, mobilisation schedules, rosters, swing patterns, and deployment models in line with compliance, fatigue, and site requirements.
  • Manage end-to-end mobilisation and demobilisation activities, ensuring workforce readiness across inductions, competencies, training, medicals, and site access.
  • Monitor workforce capacity, utilisation, and readiness; identify and escalate resourcing, roster, and mobilisation risks with mitigation actions.
  • Produce weekly workforce forecasts and roster reports, and deliver monthly mobilisation performance reporting covering utilisation, trends, and risks.
  • Provide workforce analysis, scenario modelling, and planning insights to support resourcing decisions, shutdown planning, and operational sustainability.
  • Coordinate vehicle planning aligned to workforce mobilisation schedules, identifying constraints and improving planning efficiency.
  • Ensure consistent mobilisation governance and standards across SRG and Bugarrba operations while accommodating client-specific requirements and site conditions.
  • Lead and manage mobilisation and planning teams, ensuring performance, capability development, collaboration, and adherence to SRG standards and Zero Harm principles.

 

The successful applicant will ideally have:

  • 5 + years experience in a senior workforce planning, mobilisation, or resource management role within mining, construction, or asset maintenance environments.
  • Demonstrated experience leading high-volume, multi-site, and multi-client mobilisation functions.
  • Strong understanding of shutdown planning, multi-site workforce deployment, and roster governance.
  • Proven leadership experience managing mobilisation or planning teams.
  • Advanced capability in workforce planning and mobilisation systems (Desirably Rapid Crews).
  • Strong analytical, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills.
  • Experience supporting large-scale shutdowns and complex multi-client environments.
  • Exposure to workforce analytics, capacity modelling, and operational reporting dashboards.
