National Tender Manager

We are looking for an experienced National Tender Manager to join us and take ownership of the national tender function across both Asset Remediation and Asset Care.

This is a key role within the business, responsible for leading the end-to-end tender process and bringing together our commercial, technical and operational expertise to develop compelling, compliant and commercially aligned submissions. You’ll have the opportunity to influence how we approach our tender pipeline, shape winning strategies and drive continuous improvement across our national tendering function.

 

About the Role:

Reporting to the Head of Strategy and Growth, you will lead and coordinate the end-to-end tender process nationally. You’ll work closely with Business Development, Estimating, Engineering, Methodology, Operations and senior leadership, ensuring technical, operational and commercial inputs are aligned to client requirements and evaluation criteria.

With oversight of the national tender pipeline, you will manage multiple concurrent submissions, coordinate resources and review processes, maintain submission quality and ensure key deadlines are met. You’ll also have the opportunity to identify and implement improvements to our tender processes, systems and ways of working as we continue to grow.

This is a highly collaborative role where your ability to influence stakeholders, manage competing priorities and keep complex submissions moving will be critical to success.

 

Key Responsibilities: 

 

  • Lead the end-to-end tender process from opportunity identification and bid/no-bid through to submission.
  • Manage multiple concurrent tenders, coordinating timelines, resources, reviews and submission milestones.
  • Develop and refine win strategies aligned to client requirements and evaluation criteria.
  • Coordinate input from estimating, engineering, methodology, operations and senior leadership.
  • Oversee tender content and quality to ensure submissions are compelling, cohesive and compliant.
  • Manage the national tender pipeline, including opportunities, deadlines, resources and outcomes.
  • Facilitate internal review and approval processes, ensuring submissions are ready for senior sign-off.
  • Drive continuous improvement across tender processes, systems and ways of working.

 

The successful applicant will ideally have:

 

  • Extensive experience in tender or bid management within construction, engineering or infrastructure.
  • Strong knowledge of construction, with experience in asset remediation highly regarded.
  • Experience working for a Tier 1 or Tier 2 construction contractor.
  • Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end tender processes and multiple concurrent submissions.
  • Strong understanding of tender processes, bid strategy and submission requirements.
  • Strong commercial and strategic focus, with excellent stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel and tender portals.
