National Reliability and Integrity Engineering Lead 1

We are seeking an experienced National Integrity & Reliability Engineering Lead to provide technical, commercial and consulting leadership across our Asset Care business nationally. 

 

Reporting to the National Engineering Manager, this role has full P&L accountability for our Asset Integrity and Reliability portfolio and plays a critical role in driving revenue growth, margin performance, utilisation and long‑term capability development. 

 

This is a hands‑on senior consulting role combined with national leadership. You will act as a trusted technical authority to clients across oil & gas, mining and water, while leading business growth, work‑winning and team development across Australia. 

 

Key responsibilities 

 

  • Own and manage the national P&L for Asset Integrity & Reliability services 
  • Develop and execute national growth strategies aligned to business objectives 
  • Execute consulting engineering work covering asset integrity assessments, condition monitoring, maintenance optimisation, RBI, FFS and related asset management services. 
  • Drive revenue growth through work winning, frameworks, key accounts and pricing strategy 
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders and lead key client relationships 
  • Provide visible industry thought leadership in asset integrity, reliability and lifecycle risk 
  • Provide technical authority and governance across mechanical integrity, reliability engineering and applicable standards 
  • Establish consistent national methodologies, tools and delivery standards 
  • Lead, mentor and develop a high‑performance national consulting team aligned to current and future capability needs 

 

About you 

  • Extensive asset integrity and reliability consulting experience in Australia 
  • Proven national work‑winning capability across oil & gas, mining or water 
  • Demonstrated P&L ownership or significant commercial accountability (>$3M budgets) 
  • Experience leading teams of 10+ engineers, ideally at a national level 
  • Deep technical expertise across fixed plant, rotating equipment and asset management 
  • Strong existing client relationships and market presence with a commercial, consulting‑focused mindset 
  • Strong leadership, mentoring and communication capability 
  • Ability to balance strategic leadership with hands‑on technical delivery 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or closely related discipline) 
  • Chartered Engineer / RPEQ (or eligibility) 
  • Asset Reliability Practitioner certification (ARP‑L preferred) – desirable 
  • API 510 / 570 / 653, ACIP, VCAT‑2 – desirable 
  • Actively involved in asset integrity / asset management committees or forums – highly desirable.
