NDT Technician

We are seeking an experienced Senior NDT Technician to join our Asset Care team based in Singleton, NSW, supporting major mining operations across the Hunter Valley. This is a hands-on technical role responsible for delivering high-quality NDT and inspection services, providing technical leadership, and supporting asset integrity programs across client sites.

 

This full-time position works closely with SRG operational teams onsite, and reports directly to the Operations Manager.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform and interpret NDT inspections to support asset integrity and compliance requirements.
  • Review inspection data, prepare technical reports, and ensure quality standards are maintained.
  • Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and training to technicians and trainees.
  • Conduct audits, equipment calibration checks, and ensure compliance with company and client procedures.
  • Liaise with clients and internal stakeholders on technical matters and inspection outcomes.
  • Support a strong safety culture and maintain compliance with site and regulatory requirements. 

 

About you:

  • Minimum 5 years’ relevant industry experience in NDT.
  • ISO 9712 Level 2 certification in MT & UT (Essential)
  • ISO 9712 Level 2 certification in PAUT or ET (Highly Regarded).
  • Experience performing NDT inspections within mining, industrial, manufacturing, or heavy industry environments.
  • Strong understanding of relevant codes, standards, and asset integrity principles.
  • Proven ability to mentor others and provide technical leadership.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and report-writing skills.
  • Current Working at Heights and Confined Space certifications, or the ability to obtain them.
  • Self-motivated, safety-focused, and committed to delivering high-quality outcomes for clients.
