SRG Global is seeking an experienced NDT Technician to join our high‑performing team in New Plymouth. This is an exciting opportunity to work across diverse industrial environments while developing your technical capability within a supportive and progressive organisation.
About the Role
You will be responsible for delivering high‑quality non‑destructive testing and inspection services, while also fulfilling the duties of the Radiation Safety Officer.
- Conduct non‑destructive testing and inspection work to required standards
- Prepare test samples and ensure accurate reporting
- Produce high‑quality technical reports
- Liaise with clients and communicate inspection outcomes professionally
- Clean, calibrate and maintain testing equipment
- Apply company HSE policies and actively contribute to a strong safety culture
Required Certification
- ISO 9712 Level 2 in Radiographic Testing (RT)
- Valid NZ Radiation Safety licence (or Basic Radiation Safety)
Desirable Certifications
- ISO 9712 Level 2 in Ultrasonic Testing
- ISO 9712 Level 2 in Magnetic Particle & Dye Penetrant Testing
About You
- Minimum 3 years’ NDT experience within heavy industrial environments
- Strong understanding of method limitations and field inspection techniques
- High‑quality reporting and data analysis skills
- Excellent communication, adaptability, and problem‑solving abilities
- Strong customer service mindset
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
- A valid driver’s licence
- Willingness to travel when required
