The Role
An exciting opportunity for an experienced Leading Hand with civil experience to be part of a pipeline of ongoing projects across the region of Western Australia. This is an onsite role, offering direct hands-on experience to contribute to the success of the project.
Permanent, full-time role with standard construction site hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing the day-to-day operations on site and reporting back to Site Supervisor / Engineer
- Ensure all SRG and Client policies and procedures are followed by the site team
- Act as the team's first port of call for advice and assistance with remedial, interpersonal and safety issues on site
- Ensure that all personnel have the fit for purpose tooling and knowledge required to carry out tasks effectively which includes ensuring all tickets and licenses have been sighted and scope of works are understood
- Complete shift reports as per site requirements, complete daily worksheets and other daily reporting as per site requirements and ensure daily pre-starts are carried out on all equipment
- Actively contribute to risk assessments which include auditing work tasks to ensure assessments are accurate and relevant
The Successful Applicant Will Have:
- Minimum 3 years of construction experience in Australia
- Experience in formwork, reinforcement and concrete construction
- Post tensioning experience (desirable)
- White Card
- EWP ticket, Working at Heights ticket, Confined Space ticket (desirable)
- Valid driver’s license
- Strong work ethic and a positive attitude
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical including a drug & alcohol screen
