The Role
The Corporate HSEQT Advisor is a key member of the Health, Safety, Environment, Quality and Training (HSEQT) team responsible for providing expert guidance and support in promoting a safe, healthy, and environmentally responsible workplace across the entire organisation. This role will also provide critical HSEQT support to the Asset Care business division.
Forming part of a skilled and high performing HSE team, the successful candidate will have the support of a progressive and experienced management team and be exposed to a variety of interesting and challenging work environments.
This role will be based in our Officer in Cameron Park, however, will require regular travel to drive safety across our SRG Global project sites within the Newcastle, Hunter and Central Coast Areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain safety documentation including SWMS, Safety Management Plans and Risk Assessments.
- Conduct safety inspections, audits and workplace observations, ensuring hazards are addressed promptly.
- Lead toolbox talks, pre-starts and safety engagements to promote a strong safety culture.
- Train and induct employees into projects and job sites, and provide ongoing support and coaching in various operational scenarios.
- Provide WHS advice and support to supervisors and site teams.
- Assist with incident investigations, root cause analysis and corrective action development.
- Maintain accurate safety and quality records, reports and compliance documentation.
- Liaise with clients, contractors and regulators to support compliance and strong working relationships.
- Provide safety leadership during shutdowns and high-risk activities.
- Support Quality Assurance activities including audits, compliance checks and QA/QC documentation while ensuring compliance with all HSEQ policies and reporting requirements.
The successful applicant will ideally have
Previous experience in a similar role
- Certificate IV in WHS (minimum)
- Certificate in Training & Assessment
- Formal incident investigation qualification (ICAM) (Desirable)
- Experience in high-risk environments
- Excellent communication and people skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong computer and systems skills and knowledge (Myosh experience is desirable)
