HR Advisor

The Role

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior HR Advisor with a keen eye for detail and a can-do attitude. Reporting to the Group HR Manager and working closely with the broader HR team, this role will be integral in providing support, assistance and advice to Managers across Australia on matters pertaining to Human Resources.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Group Leaders, providing expert advice, coaching and guidance across the full employee lifecycle.
  • Support the HR Leadership team in developing and executing strategic HR objectives, through continuous improvement of HR Polices, systems and processes.
  • Work with senior leaders to develop effective structures and workforce plans to deliver improved productivity and contract execution.
  • Provide advice, guidance and coaching to management to support the retention of key talent via talent management, performance management, promotions and internal transfers.
  • Lead workplace investigations, disciplinary processes, grievances and performance management cases.
  • Interpret and apply Modern Awards, Enterprise Agreements, employment contracts, and relevant legislation.
  • Partner with operational leaders to manage workplace risk and ensure compliant people practices.
  • Lead Enterprise Agreement negotiations including preparation of key documentation, log of claims management, employee communications, voting preparation and FWC submissions.
  • Prepare high-quality correspondence, reports and documentation for HR matters.

 

The successful applicant will ideally have

  • Experience within mining, engineering or construction industry (favourable).
  • 4+ years' experience working in a HR role.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Australian employment legislation, Modern Awards and Enterprise Agreements.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders.
  • Excellent computer and software skills; Word, Excel & Outlook.
