The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and organised Human Resources Administrator to join our People team based in Sydney.

 

Working closely with our HR Coordinators, Advisors and Managers, you will provide administrative support across a broad range of HR activities, including recruitment, onboarding, employee records, reporting and general People team administration.

 

This role is ideal for someone with strong administration skills who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, providing high-quality support and building strong relationships with stakeholders across the business.

 

As a key member of the People team, you will play an important role in ensuring HR processes run smoothly and employees receive positive experience throughout their employment journey.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the HR inbox, responding to enquiries and directing requests to the appropriate team members where required.
  • Maintain accurate employee and position records within HR systems.
  • Support recruitment and onboarding activities, including coordinating interviews, preparing documentation and assisting candidates throughout the recruitment process.
  • Assist with employee lifecycle administration, including new starters, employee changes and departures.
  • Prepare employment-related documentation and general HR correspondence.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and personnel files.
  • Assist with HR reporting and data administration.
  • Provide support for payroll-related enquiries and liaise with Payroll where required.
  • Coordinate medical bookings and assist with visa and immigration administration where required.
  • Support the creation and maintenance of position descriptions.
  • Assist with employee recognition, engagement and People team initiatives.
  • Process HR-related invoices and purchase requests as required.
  • Provide general administrative support to the People team and assist with HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

 

The successful applicant will ideally have

  • Previous experience in administration, office support or a similar role.
  • Experience working within a corporate or fast-paced environment would be advantageous but is not essential.
  • Strong administrative, organisational and time management skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Professional standards and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive employee information.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • A proactive, collaborative and positive approach to work.
