FIFO Mechanical fitters

SRG Global are seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters for a long-term FIFO project with an estimated duration of 6-12 months, working a 2:2 roster.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-performing team delivering mechanical works across a major industrial operation. We are looking for trade-qualified fitters with experience working on rotating equipment in mining, oil & gas, processing, or heavy industrial environments.
Experience in condition monitoring, equipment inspections, or asset maintenance programs will be highly regarded.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical works on a variety of rotating and fixed plant assets
- Assist with equipment inspections, maintenance activities, and mechanical upgrades
- Work on pumps, motors, gearboxes, conveyors, and associated equipment
- Interpret technical drawings, procedures, and work instructions
- Complete tasks safely and in accordance with site quality requirements
- Liaise with supervisors and site personnel to ensure project objectives are achieved
- Maintain a strong commitment to safety, housekeeping, and continuous improvement
The successful applicant will have:
- Australian Recognised Trade Certificate
- Previous experience working on rotating equipment in a mining, oil & gas, industrial or processing environment is highly regarded.
- Working at Heights (completed within 2 years)
- Confined Spaces (completed within 2 years)
- Current Drivers License
- Supervised Gas Fitter Ticket (Desirable)
- High Risk qualifications (Forklift, Rigging, Crane, Elevated Work Platform) (Desirable)
- Positive attitude towards safety
