Drill Trainer & Assessor

The Role
SRG Global is seeking to appoint an experienced, and highly motivated Trainer Assessor, who will be responsible for implementing internal drill training programs and assist in maintaining drilling compliance at our NSR projects based at Bannockburn.
This position will report to the Training & Development Manager – Mining
Preferable experience drilling experience on:
- Epiroc D65 blasthole and grade control drilling;
- Sandvik DP1500i blasthole drilling; and
- Sandvik D 650i Leopard blasthole drilling.
In the areas of:
- Grade control drilling, blast hole drilling, collar piping, pre-split, void, probe, contour and weep hole drilling;
- Drilling consumable management; and
- Goldfields and hard rock drilling.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist and promote our SRG Global Safe Systems of work;
- Train and assess drill operators in the required drilling application(s);
- Accurately recording and capturing training records;
- Ensure compliance with all associated Safe Work Instructions and Training; and
- Report to Line Managers on employee training progressions.
The successful applicant will ideally have:
- A minimum of 6 years drilling experience covering:
- Top Hammer Blasthole Drilling
- Down Hole Hammer Blasthole Drilling; and
- Drilling consumables and failure analysis.
- RC Grade Control Drilling Experience (Highly regarded)
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
- Ability to work unsupervised
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to positively influence, mentor and motivate others
- High level of communication and interpersonal skills
- High level of safety awareness; and Mechanically minded
- Heavy Rigid (HR class) Drivers Licence
- Certificate in TAE40116 or TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or other approved skillset.
