Employment Type:  Permanent Full Time

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Delivery Manager to lead and oversee the successful delivery of a growing portfolio of infrastructure projects across Victoria. As the business enters a significant phase of sustained growth across the water and energy sectors, this role will play a critical part in managing multiple concurrent projects, supporting key client relationships, and ensuring delivery outcomes are achieved safely, efficiently, and commercially. With a strong pipeline of secured and upcoming works, including major capital delivery opportunities and long-term panel arrangements, this is an opportunity to join a business positioned for substantial expansion within the Victorian market.

Reporting into senior leadership, the Delivery Manager will provide oversight across a program of works, leading Project Managers and delivery teams to ensure projects are executed in line with client expectations, operational targets, and business objectives. This role goes beyond traditional project management, taking ownership of delivery strategy, resource planning, stakeholder engagement, and program performance across multiple projects and clients. The successful candidate will act as a key interface between clients, operational teams, and the broader business, driving strong delivery outcomes while supporting continued growth and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end project delivery, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, on time, within budget, and to client requirements.
  • Coordinate project teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders to achieve delivery milestones and operational targets.
  • Manage project planning, mobilisation, scheduling, and execution across all phases of delivery.
  • Monitor project performance, including costs, risks, resources, productivity, and commercial outcomes, implementing corrective actions where required.
  • Build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships, acting as a key point of contact for project delivery matters.
  • Oversee subcontractor and supplier performance, ensuring compliance with contractual, quality, safety, and environmental requirements.
  • Drive a strong safety and compliance culture by maintaining HSEQ standards, systems, reporting, and regulatory obligations.
  • Ensure quality assurance, project documentation, reporting, invoicing, and handover activities are completed accurately and on time.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop project delivery teams, promoting accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to tendering, constructability reviews, operational improvements, and business growth initiatives through delivery expertise.

The successful applicant will ideally have:

  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or a related discipline.
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and influence multidisciplinary teams within fast-paced project environments.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with demonstrated experience in relationship building, negotiation, and conflict resolution.
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in project delivery, operations, or construction management within the Water, Gas, Roads, or Rail sectors.
  • Demonstrated experience managing subcontractors, suppliers, project schedules, and operational resources to achieve delivery outcomes.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methodologies and project delivery within complex, multi-disciplinary contracting environments.
  • Proven capability in project financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and commercial performance management.
