Construction worker - UWA Student Accommodation project

The Role

 

SRG Global are keen to speak with qualified and experienced Carpenters and or Glaziers for the UWA Student Accommodation project in Nedlands, Western Australia.

This is a high-profile multi-level commercial build, delivering new student accommodation and shared spaces as part of UWA’s campus development.

This role will suit carpenters/glaziers who enjoy commercial construction work, want a steady Monday to Friday roster with half days on Saturday, and take pride in safe, quality workmanship. You will be joining an established site team on a local Perth project with consistent hours and varied carpentry work across the build.

  • Family friendly roster, Monday to Friday (half day Saturday if available)
  • 10 hour days

 

About the role:

 

You will be working across a range of commercial carpentry/facade activities, including sub-framing, window panel installation, curtain wall installation, cladding, silicone work and general project carpentry.

This is a hands-on site role suited to trades who are comfortable working from drawings, following site instructions and working alongside supervisors, trades and contractors to keep the project moving safely and efficiently.

 

Successful applicants will have:

 

To be successful in this role you require the following skills and attributes:

 

  • Trade qualified Carpenter or Glazier or experience in commercial window installation
  • Experience working on commercial construction, multi-level building, fit-out or project works.
  • Experience with commercial window, curtain wall or general construction carpentry.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications and work scopes.
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality and housekeeping standards.
  • Ability to work effectively with supervisors, other trades and project teams.
  • White Card.
  • Working at Heights, EWP, forklift or other relevant high-risk licences would be highly regarded.
  • Must be able to undergo and pass a pre-employment medical, drug and alcohol test.
