The Role
SRG Global is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Supervisor for our Subiaco Head Office.
This role would be responsible for the Accounts Payable process including the coordination, scheduling and completion of supplier invoices and payments. This includes ensuring the accurate and timely recording of expenses, resolution of payment issues and maintenance of strong and robust internal controls while managing a small team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accounts Payable Invoice processing, staff reimbursements, credit card reconciliation, reporting and compliance related activities including but not limited to handling the AP mailbox, transactional processing, payment batch reviewing and statement reconciliation.
- AP payment processing. Liaise with AP Manager and Senior Management to confirm payment runs.
- Monitor disputes invoices and follow ups
- Periodic reconciliation of relevant AP control/clearing accounts related to CAPEX Invoices.
- Assist with daily AP queries arising from project manager, supplier and site admins
- Ensure accuracy of daily processing, by reviewing sample of invoices processed accurately according to the Delegation of Authority and accounting for GST,FBT and No ABN withholding.
- Actively send out the Pending Invoices report to the site admin and manager, investigate and resolve aging invoices.
- Complete end to end Vendor Management
- Coach and mentor AP Officers
- Additional duties as assigned by the AP Manager.
The successful applicant will ideally have:
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Experience in leading and coaching staff
- Experience in the construction or Mining Industry (Advantageous but not essential)
- Experience in a high volume, and multiple legal entities environment.
- Understanding of basic accounting and accounts payable principles, including general ledger coding.
- Experience in customer service, including the ability to deal with conflict and undertake negotiations.
- Experience with Dynamics 365, Jobpac (Advantageous but not essential)
- Good communication and organisational skills, with an emphasis on team work
- Excellent computer and accounting software skills
