The Role
SRG Global is seeking an energetic and enthusiastic Account Manager to drive growth and lead technical specification activities within our Engineered Products Division in Victoria.
This pivotal role include sites visits, liaising with clients, efficiently coordinating and managing all aspects of processes for product sales and to effectively communicate with clients.
We offer flexible working arrangements as this role will require regular client/site visits.
The Ideal Candidate
We’re looking for a driven and capable individual who combines technical expertise, industry knowledge, and a hunger for growth. The following attributes will set you up for success:
- Proven experience in sales within the construction or building products sector
You should have a track record of supplying products to commercial building and/or civil infrastructure projects, ideally with an established network of clients in Victoria. - A proactive, growth-oriented mindset
We're seeking someone who thrives on business development—someone who can independently identify opportunities, build relationships, and drive long-term value for the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manages an assigned sales area and product lines to maximize sales revenues and meet corporate and strategic objectives.
- Performs sales activities on major accounts and negotiates sales price in consultation with Regional Sales Manager.
- Accurately forecasts annual, quarterly and monthly revenue streams for assigned territory by major product group and project.
- Collaborates with Engineered Products team members in establishing and recommending the most realistic sales and business development goals for the company. Works with Regional Sales Manager to achieve these objectives.
- Collaborates with Regional Sales Manager to develop sales strategies to improve market share in all product lines.
- Improves company image by establishing programs/seminars in the areas of new account sales and growth, sales of emerging products and multi-product sales, profitability, improved presentation strategies, competitive strategies, proper use and level of sales support, management of expenses and business/financial issues on contracts.
What You Bring
- Proven experience in technical sales, with the ability to understand and communicate complex products or services to clients.
- Strong commercial background with experience in the construction or building industry
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Proven ability to work autonomously and proactively in a technical sales environment
- Solid understanding of market trends and ability to interpret sales data
- Competency in CRM and Microsoft Office applications
